The Foundation was born in Rome in 2004 thanks to the donation Paul made of his library and historical archive. The archive concerns with insurance history - from its origins up to the present time - which is economically, legally, technically, socially and traditionally well-documented.

The Foundation is a cultural institution (Onlus) which aims to publish, protect and increase the value of the library and archive making them available to all the insurance history scholars for their studies and research.

Among the Foundation鈥檚 administrative apparatus, the Scientific Committee plays a special role since it judges all the Foundation鈥檚 activities, programs and its achievements.

Who shares the Foundation鈥檚 cultural aims and want to take part directly in their achievements is invited to join the organization either as a Worthy Member or as a Follower.

To be successful in achieving its aims, the Foundation points to make agreements with similar organizations, universities and research centres both at home and abroad. These agreements will promote the study of the insurance subject taking advantage of all the important sources that the organizations share.

To this end, the Foundation has signed the Scientific and Didactics Collaboration with the Faculties of Law and Literature and Philosophy of the University of Rome.
