I'm a chef and I made a primarily italian recipe that I would like to call by it's directly translated italian name. Problem is, I don't speak a lick of italian! I don't trust on-line translators and was wondering if someone could help me.
The dish is, roughly: Varied peppered seafood pasta in garlic cream sauce
Bit of a mouthful, isnt it? I'm after an italian name, hopefully shorter than her english cousin.English to Italian translation help needed?
Sono italianissima. Let's see, it seems doomed to stay longer
Pasta (piccante) ai frutti di mare in salsa d'aglio
or
Pasta ai frutti di mare (piccanti) in salsa d'aglio
should do. It depends as well on how much peppered it is if you want the word "piccante" or "piccanti" in it. The position: pasta piccante means you want to underline the pasta is peppered. frutti di mare piccanti, that's them spiced.
And instead of pasta you should insert the name of the pasta: "spaghetti", "maccheroni", "conchiglie" or whatsoever.
we use "pasta" just to say generic pasta, or the oven pasta.
It really sounds mouthful :DEnglish to Italian translation help needed?
"pasta con pepe a base di frutti di mare con salsa a base di crema di aglio" this is the translation
I suggest you these names:
"Pasta aglio pepe e frutti di mare" (Pasta with garlic pepper and seafood)
Pasta ai frutti di mare con pepe e salsa di aglio (Seafood pasta with pepper and garlic cream sauce)
or you could say:
Pasta pepata ai frutti di mare con salsa di aglio
anyway:
pasta = pasta
peppere = pepata (we usually say "al pepe"; peppered pasta = pasta al pepe)
seafood = frutti di mare (seafood pasta = pasta ai frutti di mare)
garlic sauce = salsa di aglio
